To hang drops or oval beads you need to crate a loop for the thread to run through. To do this use a headpin . If the hole through the drop is too large for the headpin to hold it, you will need a cup or small spacer bead at the bottom.
Position the cup at the bottom of the headpin and add the drop. With the cutters , cut a generous centimetre above the top of the drop. Turn the top of the pin into a loop with round-nosed pliers , making sure there is no gap in the loop.
